Our Lord’s commandment to GO and MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS is at the very heart of our mission.
As a ministry, we are dedicated to the continued growth of new believers in Africa. The area surrounding Zambia and Malawi is a ripe harvest field for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As thousands of Zambians and Malawians come to faith, they need to learn more about God’s and who Jesus is. That’s where Jericho Road Ministries desires to see growth: in the training and equipping of new disciples of Jesus Christ through a growing knowledge of the Bible.
Jericho Road Ministries supports a nation-wide network of Zambians who are involved in the Emmaus discipleship courses. We take part in distributing these courses to believers of all maturity levels and empower them to go through the 12-course material and grow in their faith. This process can take 6 to 9 months to complete. The goal focuses on creating a sustainable faith for the new believers in Africa and giving them the tool to spread the Gospel to their own people. In addition to the 12 courses offered by Emmaus, Jericho Road has created “Course 13,” which focuses on teaching the graduates how to be a mentor and leader themselves and encourages them to mentor someone else with the materials.
Emmaus Bible Schools are located all over the world. The majority of them operate as traditional Bible Schools or as a headquarters for the correspondence course where students work their way through the material alone and communicate through the mail.
We want to develop a community of believers in South Central Africa that are committed to reaching the nations for Christ by investing in a one-on-one discipleship method that is easily reproduced and multiplied throughout the country. The goal is to empower the saints to glorify the name of the Lord! Evangelism is very effective in the area of the world, but our calling is to equip new believers with knowledge of the Word of God so they can make more disciples in their home country.
AS OF TODAY
In 2024 Jericho Road continued to make headway in the country of Zambia, and now in Malawi. More than ever before, God has brought forth more pastors and church leaders and members to begin the Emmaus discipleship curriculum. This is good news! Churches are being led by people grounded in God’s Word and churches are flourishing.

We strive to support churches primarily with leadership training and prayer. So as they build their places of worship, we pray for the process and as God leads, we come beside them with support to finish the project. Our strategy though is to let the people do the work to give them a sense of ownership and pride and community. When they take ownership of their church construction, they are invested in it. With community investment, the projects are sustainable!
